Call for Papers: 16th Poverty and Social Protection Conference (PSPC2026)


We invite scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to submit their research and insights to the 16th Poverty and Social Protection Conference (PSPC2026), scheduled for March 9–11, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand. This premier poverty and social protection conference is designed as a global poverty research conference and social policy conference that explores innovative solutions to global poverty and enhances social protection systems.

​Submission Categories and Evaluation Criteria:

  • Academic Submissions:
    • Relevance to conference themes.
    • Clearly stated purpose and outcomes.
    • Detailed methodology and findings (for complete research papers).
    • Originality and innovation.
    • Clarity of abstract as an indicator of presentation quality.
  • Professional and Personal Development:
    • Alignment with conference themes.
    • Clearly defined objectives and outcomes.
    • Logical flow of ideas indicating presentation quality.
    • Creativity and inspiration.
    • Practical applicability and benefits.
  • NGO, Government, Non-Profit:
    • Relevance to conference themes.
    • Clearly stated purpose and outcomes.
    • Coherent idea flow as an indicator of presentation quality.
    • Well-defined implementation strategies.
    • Societal impact.

Proposals are accepted on a rolling admission basis as long as space is available or by December 25th 2025* at the latest and are to be be submitted along with application form. All submissions will be peer reviewed and acceptance/rejections is based on criteria specified above, as well as professional and personal background of the applicant, in order to ensure a diverse learning environment. Admission decisions are made on a rolling admission basis, within working 7 days after the application has been received.

​*Admission may close earlier than the date stated above if space in the conference fills up.

Types of Submissions Accepted:

PSPC2026 welcomes a wide range of scholarly and practice-oriented contributions, including:
​
  • Research Papers – Empirical, theoretical, or methodological studies related to poverty, inequality, social protection, and social policy.
  • Case Studies – Evidence-based examples from community programs, NGOs, governments, or field initiatives.
  • Policy Analyses – Evaluations of social protection frameworks, welfare systems, labour markets, and social policy interventions.
  • Work-in-Progress Projects – Emerging studies, preliminary findings, or ongoing field research.
  • Poster Presentations – Visual presentations showcasing research, interventions, or innovative programs.
  • Practice-Based Presentations – NGO, development, social work, or community-focused projects demonstrating real-world impact.
  • Conceptual or Theoretical Contributions – New models, analytical frameworks, or interdisciplinary approaches to poverty and social protection.

PSPC2026 welcomes both in-person and remote presentations.

TYPES OF PRESENTATIONS
The conference offers the following presentation formats:
​
  • Oral Presentation: Deliver your presentation live and in person to an engaged audience.
  • Poster Presentation: Showcase your research through a poster display in the conference hall, allowing for interactive discussions and feedback.
  • Video Presentation: Submit a pre-recorded video presentation to be shared with participants.
PUBLICATION
Papers presented at the conference will be published in the official ISBN conference proceedings publication.

Tomorrow People Organization is a member of CrossRef. Published paper will be assigned individual DOI and will be indexed in CrossRef citation database as well Google Scholar and PSPC digital library. ​

In order to have your paper published in the official conference proceedings, your submission should have been previously approved and registration arrangements completed.

Paper publication is not mandatory. Authors who have completed registration arrangements and wish to have their paper published in the official conference proceedings publication must submit the final manuscript by February 1st 2026. Otherwise, only the abstract will be published, if it meets formatting requirements and is approved by the PSPC reviewing board.

  • A4 size paper
  • Single line space
  • Margins: 2 cm on the left and 2 cm on the right
  • Format: Align left
  • No footers and headers allowed and no numbered pages
  • Fonts:
                Title: Times New Roman 14 bold
                Subtitles: Times New Roman 12 bold
                Text: Times New Roman 12
  • Front section (first page):
  1. Title of submission
  2. Name/s of author/s
  3. Affiliation/s of the author/s
  4. E-mail address of corresponding author
  5. Abstract of maximum 250 words (or one page)
  6. Key words 3-10 (under abstract)
  • Main section (manuscript):
  1. Introduction
  2. Results (where applicable)
  3. Discussion
  4. Methodology (where applicable)

  1. Acknowledgments (where applicable)
  2. Funding (authors of academic research papers must clearly disclose sources of funding for conducting their research; any grant received should be clearly indicated. If you have not received any external funding from your research, please state: "This research received no external funding)
  3. Conflict of interest (authors of academic research papers must state any circumstances that may be perceived as a conflict of interest in terms of representing or interpreting the research results. If there is no conflict of interest, please state: "Authors declare no conflict on interest")

Deadline for proceedings submissions (for registered authors): February 1st 2026.
Submissions received after this date or/and in a format different than specified will NOT be published. We strongly recommend early submissions to allow enough time for a review and feed back in case there are changes to be made in formatting.
